The Bump: I'm loving my belly! It's great to have strangers give me well wishes and ask me fun questions. Unfortunately, I'm also feeling the growing pains that go along with it!

How Far Along? 26 Weeks
Total Weight Gain/Loss: +18 lbs! It really doesn't feel like I could have gained that much until I see my belly in pictures.
Maternity Clothes: I'm wearing fewer and fewer non-maternity tops and I've outgrown my non-maternity scrubs. I'm looking forward to pulling out my fall maternity clothes!
Baby Related Purchases: I went a little crazy with shopping last month, so I haven't really bought anything lately. But my in-laws, Karen and Doug, brought us our travel system when they came to visit a few weeks ago. Having a car seat definitely makes things feel more real.
Stretch marks: I might not have new ones, but my old ones are definitely stretched to the max!
Sleep: I started waking up again and having difficulty sleeping on my side. Now I sleep with five pillows just to keep myself in the right position! That helps, but sometimes I have to take Phenergan to get to sleep.
Movement: He's definitely an active baby! I love feeling his twists, kicks, and what I think might be hiccups. But I don't love it when he sits on my bladder!
What I miss: Sleeping comfortably and making it through the day without back pain.
Cravings: Fruit and tasty drinks, like Sonic slushes. I also started drinking decaf coffee again after not drinking coffee for years.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Only if I get really hungry.
Gender: It's a BOY!!!
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: BACK PAIN, heartburn, hot flashes (especially when I get hungry), sleep interruptions. Also, I've had a cold, which has been pretty miserable.
Belly Button In or Out? In
Happy or Moody most of the time: Back and forth, but getting really excited to be so close to meeting our sweet boy.
Worries: Planning to leave work and getting the nursery set up.
Best moments this month: A visit from Michael's parents, finding the perfect paint color for the nursery, and feeling the baby kick all the time.
Looking forward to: Starting the third trimester!
Size of Baby: About the size of a cucumber.
What Baby's Up To: Opening his eyes, sensing light, responding to noises, packing on weight.
Third trimester, here we come!
